Anima Flux

Anima Flux is a cooperative 2D Metroidvania with an 80s-90s retro sci-fi aesthetic and a dark, cosmic atmosphere, inspired by the likes of Hollow Knight and Dead Cells. Set roughly 400 years in the future aboard humanity's last spaceship, a pair of elite soldiers investigate a seemingly orchestrated mutant invasion.

It can be played in local or online co-op, or solo with an AI-controlled companion, and features ability-gated exploration and backtracking across the vessel. It released in 2024 on PC.
