Primal Planet

Primal Planet is a sci-fi survival Metroidvania built almost entirely by a single developer under the Seethingswarm banner and published by Pretty Soon. Set on a prehistoric alien world, it follows a caveman protagonist who lives among dinosaurs and must craft tools, hunt, and survive while uncovering the planet's secrets.

The story is told without dialogue through expressive, hand-animated pixel-art cutscenes. A loyal dinosaur companion fights alongside the player and can be controlled by a second player in local co-op, evolving as its skills sharpen. It released in 2025 on PC via Steam and GOG.
