The Siege and the Sandfox

The Siege and the Sandfox is a 16-bit-styled "stealthvania" from UK studio Cardboard Sword, a team of ex-AAA developers. A wrongly-imprisoned prince, the Sandfox, must clear his name after being framed for regicide, navigating a sprawling palace and its ancient catacombs. It leans on stealth over combat — hiding in shadows, distracting guards and using acquired abilities to slip past threats — a deliberate genre twist on the Metroidvania formula, published by PLAION in 2025.
