Turbo Kid is a side-scrolling action Metroidvania developed and published by Outerminds, based on the cult 2015 post-apocalyptic film of the same name. It serves as a bridge between the movie and its planned sequel, casting players as The Kid in a gory, neon-soaked homage to 1990s Metroidvanias.
Traversal is built around riding a BMX bike through five interconnected wastelands, while the Power Glove and other unlockable gear open new paths, dispatch mutants in bursts of over-the-top gore, and reward thorough exploration. It released in 2024 for PC and Nintendo Switch.
